9 Movie Sequels That Will Probably Be Announced Soon

Last summer's buddy action comedy starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart cooked up an impressive $217 million worldwide against a $50 million budget, which honestly makes it pretty surprising that a follow-up hasn't already been confirmed.

Perhaps Warner Bros. is waiting to see how the upcoming Johnson-Hart reunion Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle performs before giving it to the go-ahead, but with the right release date there's little chance that a sequel wouldn't be a hit.

Alternatively, maybe Warner Bros. is struggling to carve time out of Johnson's mega-packed schedule to get the film made. If it's not announced in the next year, though, it'd be a major shock, and they'd be leaving an easy few hundred mil on the table.
