9 Movies That Were Better Remakes Than Official Remakes

1. John Wick Is A Better Punisher Remake Than The Punisher (2004)

Punisher has had some unfortunate entries into its franchise, with the 2004 iteration adding itself to the list as another not-exactly-great movie under the violent vigilante's namesake. That being said, the original 1989 movie wasn't that fantastic either; but never fear Marvel comic fans, as John Wick has stepped in to give you the movie version you have always wanted to see.

Wielding vengeance and badassery with every calculated attack on those that killed his dog, John Wick is out to wipe out the organised crime syndicate that soon realise they messed with the wrong man. Much like The Punisher's attacks on the mob that ended his family's lives, Wick won't stop until he's reached the top of the chain, driven only by an unstoppable, murderous rage.

It's everything you wanted from the vigilante killer: John Wick oozes stylish edge, well-designed violence, and a self-aware black comedy that underpins the somewhat serious way the film plays out. Thomas Jane could learn a thing or two from Keanu's dogged (haha) pursuit of justice.
