9 Movies To Watch If You Loved Squid Game

5. The Belko Experiment

Funhouse and Squid Game
MGM

Potentially even more trigger-happy than Squid Game itself, we have The Belko Experiment. The film follows employees of a shady company to enter their workplace one day to find that they have no way to leave and must kill each other to survive.

Quotas for killing are set, with the punishment for failure being that a chip implanted in each employee's head can explode. The whole premise seems awfully similar to the whole 'you cannot stop playing the game' rule in Squid Game.

Where it differs though is that there is no monetary incentive, the only thing driving the employees of this Colombian office to keep going and hurting each other is the very human desire to survive. Amongst the tensions they split into warring factions, all watched no doubt with glee by the mysterious orchestrator.

If you want all the bloody bits without the smarts that come with a lot of the other films' gaming elements then this is for you. It's exactly what you expect it to be, but also manages to take you on some unexpected journeys.
