9 Movies With Way Too Many Plot Twists

6. Mindhunters

James Bond Spectre
Dimension Films

Mindhunters is a delightfully silly thriller following a group of rookie FBI agents on a training assignment. They’re sent to an abandoned island where they’re supposed to hunt a fake serial killer, only to get picked off one at a time.

The movie has a whale of a time tossing fake suspects and clues at the viewer, making pretty much everyone a suspect at some stage. First they think it’s the new recruit, then the female lead is framed, then they suspect their boss who is later found dead and so forth.

The filmmakers were obviously trying to keep the audience on their toes, but the constant red herrings and dead ends become hilarious after awhile.

It's also fairly clear who the killer is at an early stage, meaning the audience is ahead of these “genius” characters for a solid hour.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
