9 Movies You've Never Fully Seen (But Hopefully Will)

1. Cloud Atlas

The Wachowskis' Cloud Atlas may have been a colossal box office bomb, but it was moderately well-received by critics and has been embraced by audiences as one of the most ambitious tentpole films of the last decade.

A few years ago, however, Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos revealed that not only did a four-hour cut of the movie exist, but that he had seen it, and declared it would "blow you away."

During the film's original press tour, the Wachowskis mentioned that their first cut was 225 minutes long, which we're going to assume is the version Sarandos saw.

According to the filmmakers, the cuts were mostly about tightening the movie's pace and cramming as much into three hours as possible.

But with an extra hour-or-so to unfurl their vision, perhaps Cloud Atlas' narrative, which is oft-cited as "confusing," might crystallise a little more clearly.

Either way, it'd be fascinating to see such a bold, uncompromising movie in its purest, most ultimate form.
