9 Movies You've Never Fully Seen (But Hopefully Will)
8. Kill Bill
Quentin Tarantino's two Kill Bill movies were originally shot as a single production, and it wasn't until Tarantino was editing the gargantuan project that Harvey Weinstein "suggested" he release two films instead.
And while this approach allowed Tarantino to keep many scenes which otherwise would've been cut from a single film - namely the O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu) anime sequence - it also wasn't the format the director planned when shooting the movie.
So, ever since their original release, Tarantino has teased the prospect of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, a four-plus-hour supercut which not only combines the two movies, but also adds an extended animated sequence and other extra footage.
This cut was actually completed and given a limited release in the Tarantino-owned New Beverly Cinema in early 2011, yet ten years later it still hasn't been given a home release.
With Tarantino having partnered with Netflix to deliver an extended mini-series cut of The Hateful Eight, there's been speculation that the streaming platform could be the perfect avenue for The Whole Bloody Affair's eventual release.
The fan enthusiasm is certainly there, and as the cut is already complete, there's no excuse not to get it out there.
