9 Other Major Franchises Quentin Tarantino Was Linked To Before Star Trek
4. The Man From UNCLE
While a reboot of the 1960s spy series finally made it to screens in 2015 with Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and director Guy Ritchie, the project had been in development for a very long time beforehand - and it had at one point been on Tarantino's radar.
The writer-director was offered the reins to The Man From UNCLE during his white-hot period post-Pulp Fiction, and considered casting George Clooney as Napoleon Solo. However, ultimately Tarantino and Clooney opted to instead make From Dusk Till Dawn with Robert Rodriguez.
That was the end of it for Tarantino, but not for Clooney: he went to be attached to an UNCLE movie with his Out of Sight/Ocean's 11 director Steven Soderbergh, but this also failed to get off the ground.
