9 Outrageous Ways Famous Movie Characters Came Back From The Dead
2. Michael Myers Survives Decapitation Halloween: Resurrection
Michael Myers coming back to life is hardly a big shocker, as hes been doing it since the very first Halloween. Over the course of the series hes been stabbed, shot, beaten to a bloody pulp by Paul Rudd and set on fire. But things changed in Halloween: H20. Jamie Lee Curtis returned as Michaels sister Laurie, the role that made her a star. And she was determined to bring resolution to both her character, and the bogeyman with the William Shatner mask. He Was Dead...: At the end of H20 Lauries had an epic showdown with Michael, and seemingly killed him. But she knows better, and steals the ambulance his body has been loaded into. As she drives away he comes back to life, they get into a fight and the ambulance crashes. The helpless Michael is pinned, and reaches out to his sister for help. Her response is to swing her axe and behead him, ending her nightmare once and for all. ...But He Got Better: But in the aptly titled Resurrection the screenwriters have done some hard-core retconning. It turns out it wasnt Michael she killed, but some poor paramedic. A flashback reveals this poor guy found Michaels body, who came back, crashed his larynx and switched clothes with him. So when this guy awoke in the ambulance, dazed and unable to call out for help, Laurie assumed the worst and killed him. Its a hideous cheat, and completely undermines Lauries arc in H20. Curtis clearly felt the same way. Her contract stated she had to cameo in Resurrection, so she decided to kill Laurie off to be done with the series.
