1. An Indian Student Died Screaming After Embarking On A Horror Movie Marathon
Long have scientists pondered the answer to the question: "Can you die watching a horror movie?" Or, at least, the lazier scientists who can't be bothered with cancer and AIDs have been pondering that question, 'cause that's a bit easier. Given the stress and anxiety that watching a "scary movie" can apparently inflict upon film-goers, then, (not to mention that watching can help you to lose calories), you might you've also wondered whether such things were possible, hm? Though the jury's still out on the science stuff, an incident from way back in 2010 sort of sheds a bit of light on the matter. Because during a horror marathon, where students in Marikavalasa, India, were screening classics that included Alien (and some lesser-known Indian titles like Blood and Ghost), a young man went to the toilet, before he suddenly remerged, screaming, only to collapse dead moments later. What happened here, then? What gave the kid a sudden shock? Did the thought of a Xenomorph lurking in the bathroom inspire an unexpected anxiety attack? Or was there just, you know, a massive spider in the sink? Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
