9 People You Won't Believe Actually Died Watching Famous Movies

2. A 22-Year-Old Died Due To "Excessive Laughing" During A Screening Of Grand Masti

Oh, sure: you've never heard of Grand Masti, but that doesn't mean that it isn't super famous. In India, this terrible sequel is actually the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time - so, yes, it's at least very, very famous there, where it pulled in something like $23 million dollars. Most critics will tell you that Grand Masti is awful, and they'd be totally right, but there's at least one person in the world who enjoyed it: 22-year-old Mangesh Bhogal. Way too much, in fact: it killed him. Yes, the movie proved itself to be so unexpectedly hilarious for Mangesh that he laughed himself to death, not unlike our friend the Danish audiologist, Ole Bentzen, who died laughing similarly at A Fish Called Wanda. Mangesh was reportedly cracking up at the movie's hijinks, before he suffered from a sudden heart attack. He was pronounced dead before he even made it to the hospital. A doctor literally said on the incident: "He died due to excessive laughing."
