9 People You Won't Believe Actually Died Watching Famous Movies

8. A Taiwanese Man Died After Getting "Over-Excited" By Avatar's Amazing 3D Effects

There's no doubt that pretty much everyone who sat down in a theatre to watch James Cameron's long-awaited Avatar was blown-away by its innovative special effects and immersive 3D - but whereas most people were figuratively blown-away, a 42-year-old man from Taiwan was actually blown-away. Like, into death. Yes, the poor man was reported to apparently been so overwhelmed by the 3D effects inn the groundbreakings sci-fi movie, that he suffered a stroke. The man, called Kuo, had a history of high blood pressure, so all those scenes with giant blue people flying about on dragons and machine-gunning one were likely the cause of this tragedy. Doctors said that that his death came as a result of him getting "over-excited" by the whole experience. Hey, "over-excitement" is a pretty good way to go! Well, it might have been, had the poor guy not spent 11 days in the hospital trying to recover before he finally passed on.
