9 People You Won't Believe Actually Died Watching Famous Movies

4. A Latvian Man Shot Somebody During A Screening Of Black Swan Because He Was "Eating Popcorn Too Loudly"

Well, this is a weird one - almost like something you'd find in a satirical film, or a tasteless Saturday Night Live sketch. According to reports, then, a 27-year-old guy once pulled out a gun and shot somebody during a Latvian screening of Black Swan because he was eating popcorn too loudly. That's not a joke. It's something that really happened, on planet Earth, back in 2011. A man literally took out a firearm and shot at another man because he was making a bit of noise. Now, we're not entirely sure how things go down in Latvia, but we're pretty certain that minor quibbles aren't usually resolved to the sound of gun fire. Seriously, what happened here? How did eating popcorn loudly escalate into something quite so mental? And during Black Swan? What was a hostile, gun-carrying Latvian guy doing watching Black Swan anyway? The whole thing is just totally insane: especially since the man who got shot actually, like, died. Latvia... c'mon!
