3. Focusing Too Much On Jane Foster
Jane Foster has already been established as Thor's love interest in the first movie and she's set to star in this one, so there's obviously going to be something of a romance going on - but let's hope that Marvel don't focus on it too much. The potential of the main plot of this movie is immense - Malekith could be a great villain and the events that could unfold from his plan to plunge the universe in to darkness are potentially fantastic, so to focus too much on Foster would just be a waste. Does Thor really have to take her to Asgard? Does a mere mortal really need to play such a big part in something that is happening on a cosmic, universal scale? Surely Thor would be better just keeping her out of it - you know, like S.H.I.E.L.D did when the the threat was "merely" global in the Avengers movie? With so many other awesome things going on this movie, I really don't want Jane Foster taking up too much of the screen time. Natalie Portman didn't even want to come back for this movie the only reason that she has returned is because she's contractually obliged, so the fact that she's set to play such a key role in Thor: The Dark World, when something so much bigger than her is going on in the movie, is truly baffling.
