9 Reasons An X-23 Movie Needs To Happen
3. Logan Is On Track To Outgross X-Men: Apocalypse
Logan is a box office powerhouse right now, and is currently on track to outgross X-Men: Apocalypse's decent but unremarkable $543.9 million worldwide total, which was more than $200 million less than Days of Future Past's final cume.
It says a lot that an R-rated solo Wolverine movie is set to beat a core X-Men movie at the box office, just as Deadpool did last year. While a lot of Logan's success is down to Hugh Jackman's tenacious performance and the buzz surrounding his final performance as the character, X-23's portrayal forms the emotional lynchpin of the movie and its excellent execution is also a big reason why the movie works so well.
While a solo X-23 movie probably wouldn't gross anywhere near Logan's numbers, it'd likely still be a rock solid hit given the wide praise for the characterisation and Keen's performance.
