5. Green Arrow: Escape From Super Max
David S. Goyer often gets attached to comic book adaptations that don't pan out. On top of X-Men Origins: Magneto, he was also hired to write a Flash film and Green Arrow film for Warner Brothers. Though a Flash film will likely happen in the near future, a Green Arrow movie seems less possible now that he's headlining his own show, Arrow, on the CW. Goyer's Green Arrow film would have abandoned the traditional superhero formula and would have instead
hit the ground running. In the script, Green Arrow was framed for a crime he didn't commit, and thrown into a high-tech, high security prison called Super Max. The prison featured several DC villains and antiheroes, both big and small, and would have featured Green Arrow trying to escape and clear his name (all the while facing off against those locked away with him). A self-contained, action oriented movie featuring Green Arrow battling against various villains, full of cameos galore, would have been an absolute blast to watch on screen. It's definitely a project that could still see the light of day, especially with Goyer solidifying his place as one of DC's go-to writers, so let's not give up hope just yet.
