6. Hawkman
I've written
several times about my love of Hawkman and
how easily he could fit within DC's new movie universe. Two years ago Warner Bros apparently felt the same way, and hired Adrian Askarieh, Gregory Noveck, and Will Hackner to begin production on a solo Hawkman film. The film was described as part Indiana Jones, part Da Vinci Code, and part Ghost. Unfortunately, there has been virtually no word on the project since then, and considering that the DC cinematic universe is slowly moving forward in a new direction, a Hawkman solo outing may be far off. DC has, after all, a few other characters they need to adapt first before trying their hand at a potentially difficult character like Hawkman. For now, fans of the character will just have to rewatch old Smallville episodes until he finally takes flight on the silver screen.
