9 Things To Expect From Lord And Miller's Star Wars Han Solo Movie
5. Immaculate CGI
As you probably guessed from Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and The Lego Movie, Lord and Miller have a shared background in animation and computer-generated imagery. The two films are great examples of just what can be achieved through using new technology to create whole worlds.
The Lego Movie in particular is a gorgeous, inventive piece of animation; placed next to the Jump Street films, it makes the argument that Lord and Miller are perhaps more at home in a visual sense on the computer than they are on a live set. But at least it clears up any worries over how the computer-generated effects of the Han Solo movie will turn out, as these guys appear to be experts.
Experts, and CGI perfectionists capable of crafting living, breathing environments out of nothing but groups of pixels, a talent that will come in handy now Star Wars has moved into the CGI realm. Also see 22 Jump Street's drug trip scene for evidence that Lord and Miller are comfortable blending CGI with practical elements, too.
