4. Hugh Jackman - Logan
Fox Studios' Logan in 2017 was the epic finale of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, beginning in the original X Men franchise and the new era of prequel mutants in which the protagonist star has been involved in all the way. In Logan, Wolverine meets his demise at the climax of the movie, much to many fans heartache and including the actor himself.
Talking about his role in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jackman discusses a conversation he had had with friend Jerry Senfield to why he decided to stop his own sitcom show of the same name. During the interview, the actor gives a little too much away, revealing that he too is looking to stop playing the role of the superhero sooner than most people were expecting.
He also announced that he liked the idea that his character would 'give his life for someone else', a plot point that actually happens in the movie as Logan sacrifices his own life for his daughter's. The audience were therefore no left wondering if the actor would return because of this interview and the last few moments of the film as Wolverine does not recover or heal from his wounds.
