9 Ultimate Bad Taste Movies

4. Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence (2011)

humancentipede2 Banned briefly by the BBFC who labelled it 'revolting', Human Centipede 2 takes the bad taste concept of its predecessor - the creation of a human 'centipede' by stapling 3 people ass to mouth - and expands it in an extraordinarily grotesque manner. The film follows Martin Lomax, a bespectacled, obese weirdo who works as a security guard and lives with his suicidal mother. He is obsessed with the first Human Centipede film and is determined to have his own human centipede. He is ambitious in his scope and knocks out twelve people - stapling their mouths to each others asses and creates his hellish 'creature'. To excite himself, he injects all the people in the centipede with laxatives - with predictable obnoxious effect. He also clubs his mother's brains in when she begins to annoy him. A newborn baby is crushed under the pedal of a car. And all of this is AFTER the BBFC made many cuts to the film - including a sequence in which Martin masturbates with sand paper. The Human Centipede 2: Final Sequence is obviously an extreme example of poor taste in a film. There is just so many things wrong with the concept of stapling people ass to mouth. It is a disgusting idea but the film is quite entertaining in a sick, reprehensible way. I have to be honest and say I was fascinated by the movie and the gruesome heights it reached. It evokes a sort of 'What the heck is going to happen next?' kind of curiosity. Martin Lomax is a great character, utterly convincing in his perversions. It is in bad taste but if you end up watching it, you will be engrossed by its grossness.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
