4. Stretch Armstrong
Though it appears on both IMDb and Wikipedia as a 2014 release, there is practically no information that exists on this movie. Let's really really hope this production just stays in limbo forever. Do I even have to explain why? Stretch Armstrong was a toy introduced in the late 70s. It was a rubbery action figure filled with gel, so that it's appendages could be stretched to silly lengths. That's it. Would a movie based on the figure be about a gel-filled man? Or a regular man that could just stretch his body like Mr. Fantastic of The Fantastic Four? Why is this even being considered for a movie? If Stretch Armstrong had produced an animated series to go with it's toy line at some point, perhaps it'd be easier to understand why a film is being considered. But no such show existed. Stretch Armstrong has no story. So where will the studio go from here, and why do they think there's actually an audience for this?
