5. A Haunted House 2
There's going to be another Paranormal Activity film in 2014 which in itself is unnecessary. However, A Haunted House 2 seemed like the more egregious case of unwanted paranormal movie getting made. A Haunted House was a dreadful spoof of Paranormal Activity and other similar franchises. It was panned by critics and hardly made a splash with audiences, earning $40 million US. That number is was good enough I guess, as a sequel was immediately planned. I don't know if "planned" is the proper word to use, as most of these spoof movies are so slapped together that they wait to film them for as long as possible, so as to include extremely recent references. This hasty production also ensures that the least amount of effort is put into the comedy, leaving us with hackneyed slapstick and groan-worthy allusions to other film franchises.
