9 Upcoming Movie Trailers That Are Probably Tricking You

7. The Pink Elephants Scene Will Be Toned Down - Dumbo

The trailers for Tim Burton's Dumbo suggest another entertaining and affecting live-action rendition of a Disney animated classic, albeit one that's going to make a few significant departures from its inspiration.

The two trailers released so far have both shown a snippet of what appears to be the famous pink elephants sequence from the original - where Dumbo gets wasted and hallucinates a parade of pink elephants, among other things - yet it's pretty damn likely the scene has been given a major modern makeover.

Look at the bottom of the frame and you'll see the pink elephants being created by a bubble show at the circus, perhaps suggesting that Dumbo won't get smashed this time around, and it will instead simply be a trippy effect created to wow the circus audience.

Simply, if you're expecting a baby elephant to get wrecked on booze and trip balls in the PR-savvy world of 2019, you're probably setting yourself up for disappointment. Expect a brief, playful homage at most and be pleasantly surprised if it's anything more.
