The Sequel(s) Already In Development: Avatar 3, Avatar 4

Avatar is the biggest movie of all-time, and so it's somewhat surprising that James Cameron's sci-fi action flick is still without a sequel.

To all seven of you Avatar fans out there, though, don't fret: this movie is getting a sequel, and its sequel is getting a sequel, and then that sequel is getting a sequel. That's three sequels on the way, the first of which was meant to be released this year and then a little franchise called Star Wars came along and suddenly - without explanation - Avatar 2 was on indefinite hiatus.

Apparently production on Avatar 2 is set to begin within the next month, however - at least according to the latest reports. Whether this still involves shooting the other two Avatar sequels at the same time as Avatar 2, who knows? Cameron has mentioned a bunch of times that he planned to film all three sequels back-to-back, and has written the scripts for all three movies.

But who cares anymore? Anyone? Anyone?
