9 Weird (But Plausible) Superhero Casting Choices That Need To Happen

4. Superman - Karl Urban

Lobo Jack Black
DC Comics

It seems as though the chances of Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman diminish everyday, so let's just pounce on the opportunity and suggest a replacement.

But why Karl Urban?

The actor is one that has been touted to play Batman for some years now, meaning that picturing him as the Man of Steel is likely difficult for many. This is especially true when his roles as Judge Dredd and the 'Superman'-hating Billy Butcher are factored into the equation.

Yet, he would still make for a marvellous Superman. His wide variety of roles across the decades have evidenced that the actor is able to play nice characters as well as mean ones, and be lovable and charming as both.

Combine these elements with his solid jawline and DC have a pretty good Superman on their hands, whether they decide to continue down the morally questionable route Man of Steel set the character on, or give audiences a Kal-El that is truer to the comics.
