9 Worst Performances In Acclaimed 2018 Movies

6. Rafi Gavron - A Star Is Born

A Star Is Born is a wonderful movie and courting easy Oscar success for a reason, but there's one performance that just rings a little hollow compared to the rest.

Rafi Gavron's performance as Ally's (Lady Gaga) manager Rez resembles little more than a cartoonish music producer stereotype, functioning more as a plot convenience than a believably fleshed-out human being.

This is partly due to the writing, for sure, but Gavron's overly broad portrayal stops just short of twirling his moustache as he attempts to drive a wedge between Ally and Jackson (Bradley Cooper) for his own gain.

Thankfully the rest of the movie is incredible enough that Gavron's lacklustre effort can't even begin to sink it.
