5. The Lickerish Quartet (1970)
A wealthy couple sit down to a porn movie with their son (as you do). The latter gets bored and wants to go into town, so all three of them end up at a carnival and see a motorbike stunt. The cyclist is a very beautiful blonde woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to a performer in the porno they had previously watched. They bring the woman home and she starts off her stay there in a Pasolini-esque Teorema type style - seducing every family member. Is this woman the porno star? Does she even really exist? Metzger has fun with the concept of reality in The Lickerish Quartet. It is possibly the most pretentious sex film ever, but with Metzger at the helm, it is still beautiful to watch and about 95% more amusing than most other films out there. Metzger is obviously really striving above his station to make a" meaningful" erotic film. Unfortunately, the lines of dialogue sound silly in the actors' mouths, making them seem even more wooden than they actually are. Nevertheless, Silvana Venturelli in the role of the Seductress is incredibly sexy and gorgeous to watch. And isn't hot totty the reason to watch Euro Trash, anyway?
