After Skyfall: 10 Future Predictions For The James Bond Franchise

3. Better Games

For the love of €˜M€™ please make better games! Although some more learned gamers than this author may be able to laud the qualities of some of the Bond games, overall, they€™re uninspiring. Goldeneye was excellent because it was revolutionary as a first person shooter. That€™s a given. Since then they have been a back catalogue of clumsy storylines and dialogue falling over each other to get to the next €˜set move€™ which flings some nameless baddie into a pointless river. If films are a vessel of storytelling then games have the potential to be a vessel for elaboration. In this case to BE Bond! The chance to make wrong decisions and to try to get out of the mayhem that ensues, using nothing but your nous and a Walther PPK. The potential is there in even the most joyous mindlessness of Army of Two; why not Bond? More investment, more young followers, less judo chops.

A. J. S. Scott was created as a homunculus by a mad English Alchemist who was trying to make rum from ink and seawater. He is still a fan of both and he has no comment on what happened to all the ‘No Exit’ signs in Islington Underground Station when he visited for Beltaine. You can send him missives by bribing the Right Raven with sour-strings, or: Instagram: @ajsscott Tumblr: andrew-scott-things.tumblr.com
