Bringing in some iron... Limited CV: Cowboys & Aliens, Iron Man 2, Iron Man, Zathura, Elf Jon Favreau is perhaps better known for the films and TV shows he€™s appeared in over the years (including a turn on Friends as Monica€™s wealthy but delusional love interest... a character that was somewhat a precursor to ) but he€™s been making quite the name for himself on the comic book adaptation circuit of late. He took Iron Man, a Marvel character that for all intents and purposes was under the cinema-going public€™s radar and made a modern icon out of him. This of course paved the way for Avengers, which netted Marvel and Paramount a hefty chunk of change (just shy of $1.5billion) and earned Favreau Hollywood playmaker of the year award (note: fictional award). Favreau could well have his eye on the soon-to-be directorless franchise and Warner Bros. could indeed also have an eye right back on Favreau in the hopes he might be able to recreate some of Iron Man€™s success, in the run up to the Justice League movie. Iron Man is possibly the best superhero origin movie of all time alongside Batman Begins. After the way Marvel treated him, we could see him being more pumped than ever to jump to Warner Bros/DC and showing what he can do without restraint. Favreau's Batman: Like Iron Man but darker...
