After The Dark Knight Rises: 10 Directors Who Should Reboot Batman

3. Ben Affleck

The new Chris Nolan?Limited CV: Gone Baby Gone, The Town, Argo Ben Affleck shot to mainstream superstardom in about fifteen seconds upon the release of Good Will Hunting, a movie he won an Oscar for co-writing in his early 20's. After a high profile acting career, he saw the leading man roles dry up after a string of early 21st century flops and some amazingly poor choices in what films to star in. Having suffered a career downfall like few actors in recent memory, he made a comeback in a huge way behind-the-camera for his crime thrillers Gone Baby Gone and The Town, Affleck is seriously kicking ass and taking names. He is currently in the midst of post-production on his most ambitious project to date Argo, a middle east thriller about the 1979 hostage crisis in Tehran, a movie he will also star in. To us, The Town almost felt like an audition for directing an even bigger large scope action movie. He reminds us of the talent Chris Nolan was showing with his adaptation of Insomnia and is making a name for himself as the modern day Sidney Lumet. We'd love to see WB extend their hand to Affleck to carry on the Batman saga. Affleck's Batman: Thrilling
