4. Will Smith's Genie Looks MUCH Better

What difference a trailer makes, eh?

Will Smith's Genie looked like an absolute horror-show in the previous teaser, and though the effects are still far from perfect, the new trailer pivots away from iffy VFX to focus on the personality of Smith's performance.

And you know what? It kinda seems like he's nailing it.

It would be impossible for Smith to compare to Robin Williams' iconic rendition of the character, but he has quite sensibly tried to do something very different and more in step with his own natural personality.

Between his inherent likeability, the dynamic visuals and that surprisingly funny "Make me a prince" joke, it honestly seems like fans don't really need to worry about the new Genie ruining the movie anymore.

Given that none of the three human leads are much convincing yet, it's looking probable that Smith's charm offensive could end up carrying the movie through some rough patches.
