1. What Have They Done To Iago!?

Though it was initially reported that Jafar's pet parrot Iago would not be appearing in the film, it was later confirmed that he will in fact have a role.

The lack of a casting announcement, however, has sparked speculation that he sadly won't have a speaking part in this version.

Well, fans appeared to get their first glimpse of the character in the new trailer, where a gigantic bird somewhat resembling Iago is seen chasing Aladdin and Abu across the rooftops before they escape on the magic carpet.

Between the design change for the character and his presumed lack of a voice - Gilbert Gottfried recently confirmed he hasn't been asked to return - expect this to be one of the most controversial aspects of the new film.

If one of the original animation's most charming characters is reduced to a glorified set-piece prop and not much more, that'd be a huge shame.

But if you can accept these undeniably significant gripes, the trailer did highlight some of the movie's apparent positives...
