Alice Through The Looking Glass: 10 Reasons It's Worse Than The Original

3. There's No Crispin Glover

One of the unexpected delights of the original movie was Crispin Glover's turn as the Knave of Hearts, the Red Queen's lap dog who ends up banished with her at the end of the movie.

However, though Glover was reportedly keen to reprise his role for the sequel, he was apparently never approached and does not appear.

That said, his absence is explained: near the end of the movie we briefly see a skeleton resembling the Knave, eyepatch and all, as Time hilariously asks the corpse, "What happened to you?"

It's a shame that such an awesome character was binned off in such summary fashion: Glover's signature eccentricity would've added a lot to a sequel that was more annoying than delightfully weird.
