Alien: Covenant - 20 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

1. The Drinking Bird

Early on in the film, we get the strange sight of a toy bird drinking from a glass on a large display table. Fans of The Simpsons will recognise it as Homer's replacement who almost destroys the Nuclear Power Plant, but it's also a cute little nod back to the Alien franchise.

In Alien (1979), a very similar toy bird can be seen in the background, before another appears later. Another also appears in Aliens, one pops up in the work print version of Alien 3 and there's even one in Alien: Isolation.
