It's a Ridley Scott sci-fi film, so of course it looks like a million bucks. Though it arguably doesn't look quite as fiercely unique or spectacular as Prometheus, Covenant is still a tremendous-looking film from the standpoint of production design, visual effects and cinematography.

Even during its dopier moments, it's so incredibly easy to look at and simply soak in as a visceral experience, and at almost 80 years old, it's safe to say that Scott hasn't lost his eye for evocative, haunting and often downright terrifying imagery.

It's obviously not enough to carry Covenant, but if it's going to be as messy as this, it sure is a bonus that it looks so pretty.
