The Amazing Spider-Man: 10 Spidey Movies That Must Be Made Next

7. Venom (2019)

We already know that two of the comic book universe's Venoms - Flash Thompson and Eddie Brock - exist in the Amazing Spider-Man universe, having met the former, and seeing the latter mentioned in viral marketing for the sequel, but it's unclear which version of the iconic character we're going to see. Hopefully, the spin-off format suggests that we will be introduced to Venom as an anti-hero initially, rather than as an out-right villain, as he was in Raimi's Spider-Man 3. Comic Book Reference Point: "Venom," Ultimate Spider-Man It's likely that this arc, from Brian Michael Bendis played a major part in the formative development of Webb's Amazing Spider-Man franchise, as it is this story that establishes that Peter Parker's parents were working on a "Super-suit" with major medical properties. Like in the film, they were killed mysteriously, but they had science partners, in the shape of the Brocks, whose son Eddie inherits the suit. The smartest approach to this story-line would be to first explore Brock's good side; he was an investigative journalist, who implicated the wrong suspect in a murder case, and Venom has been shown throughout the comics as a vigilante crime-fighter who takes on threats greater than himself, with morally grey methods that don't sit well with Spider-Man. There is huge potential in the idea of introducing Venom in this manner, and having his mental instability lead to the point at the end where his methods have drawn the attention of Spidey.
