The Amazing Spider-Man: 10 Spidey Movies That Must Be Made Next

6. The Amazing Spider-Man 5 (2020)

Given that the original Venom movie is going to be a spin-off - and thus, by the definition will not feature Spider-Man (aside perhaps from a cameo tying him back to the main narrative) - it's likely that we will see the big black phenom appear in the next "main" Spider-Man movie. With Eddie Brock (as it will presumably be) losing his grip, his handle on morality could slip, both in his day-job as a journalist, where he takes Emil Gregg's admission that he is the serial killer Sin-Eater, and as Venom, where his targets become more ambiguous, Peter Parker steps in to take down the creature for the good of New York. Comic Book Reference Point: "Venom," Ultimate Spider-Man The fifth Amazing Spider-Man movie then should concentrate on the other half of Brian Michael Bendis' Venom arc, where Peter discovers that Brock has the super suit developed by his parents (whether he admits it, or Peter works it out) and invites him to try it out - provided it avoids too much similarity to the Spider-Man 3 exploration of the same story. After it proves to be a bad decision, the story should follow Spider-Man's attempts to take down Venom, though there shouldn't be as final a resolution as there was in Raimi's movie, as it would leave the door open for a possible stand-alone Venom sequel, which could tantalisingly also explore the appearance of Carnage.
