9. Armie Hammer

Armie Hammer has long been touted for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having been spotted on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with many believing that he was going to be up for the role of Ant-Man. He was also one of the names in the frame for the role of Batman in the upcoming Batman versus Superman movie. However, neither of those roles came to be - with Paul Rudd and Ben Affleck being cast respectively - so he's now available for roles in other comic book movies and the role of Venom is one that an actor of his calibre could certainly pull off. After playing a blinder in The Social Network as Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Hammer went on to portray the titular role in 2013's Lone Ranger movie (so he could probably do with another titular role to wipe that one from memory!). In 2014 he will star alongside Superman himself, Henry Cavill, in The Man from U.N.C.L.E movie - and maybe the British actor could give him some tips regarding how to pull off a high-profile comic book role. Hammer could probably play Eddie Brock as he is in both the 616 and Ultimate universes - he'd be a potentially great choice for Spider-Man's arch-nemesis.
