8. Zac Efron

Although this would probably go down about as well with fans of Venom as the Ben Affleck news went down with Batman fans, I can't help but think that Zac Efron could potentially make a very good young Eddie Brock. Though he also has the potential to come across as a scrawny, whiny version of the character like Topher Grace did - which can be very annoying - he is enormously popular with a particular demographic, which could bring a whole new audience and level of popularity to the comic book movie genre. He also has the ability to portray a charming, easy on the eye version of Brock whose transformation in to a vicious villain could be very interesting to watch on the big screen (though whether or not he has the ability to come across as threatening is open to debate). Obviously he'd be among the actors who would need a radical CGI enhancement for the Venom side of the character and, as already touched upon, he'd go down hideously with Venom fans upon his casting, but I think he'd do okay if he was given the opportunity.
