The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Ending: 11 Big Questions For Webb's Spidey Universe
10. Will We Ever Get To Meet J Jonah Jameson?
Thus far, the angriest man in Spider-Man's world has been only a spectral presence in Marc Webb's iteration of the universe, with ever-present hints at the importance of his media empire, and the odd trace of his identity in email exchanges carrying the faintest whiff of his personality. But Jameson remains a ghost of a character, perhaps at least partly because JK Simmons' performances (his vocal work goes beyond the limits of Raimi's films) and you have to suspect that sooner rather than later, we're going to have to meet him. If it goes on too long, in fact, the build-up will devalue the actual pay-off. And who will play Jameson? It might seem odd to even suggest that Simmons could play the same character in both film franchises, but suitability should trump everything else in the consideration for who should play the character, and it would count as significant fan service if Simmons made the cut.
