The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spoilers: 11 Ways It Sets Up Future Spidey Movies

6. The Sinister Six Might Not Be Who We Immediately Suspect

Though there are hints in the two Amazing Spider-Man films so far have shown us all of the members of the Sinister Six in one way or another - which was somewhat blatantly hammered home by Harry Osborn's comments to Fiers that he would find everything he needed for the team in Oscorp - that might not be the case. At the minute, it wouldn't be entirely unreasonable to suspect that the Six will be Lizard, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Vulture, Electro and Rhino, because we've met them or seen major hints at them (in the cases of Doc Ock and Vulture), but you have to question a couple of things. Firstly, how dead is Electro? Because he looks pretty dead. And then there's Kurt Connors, who didn't seem to be a villain anymore by the end of the first movie, since he told Fiers to leave Peter Parker alone, and Rhino, who has already battled Spidey (and probably lost since he was already set up as a clown-like henchman). So as well as introducing new characters in Doc Ock and Vulture, the spin-off has to break Rhino out of prison again, and get his suit back (unless he's just cartoonishly going to appear with a few band-aids and an ice pack on his big mech-head), convince Lizard to be bad again, and find whatever remains of Electro. Or they could go with a different version of the team entirely: since it's Fiers who is putting the team together, we might see his version of the Six - The Chameleon, the Vulture, Dr. Octopus, Electro, Mysterio, and Fier's slave/side-kick Pity - perhaps with Goblin in place of Electro.
