4. Peter Continues To Date Gwen Stacy
It appears Peter has no intention of keeping his promise to the late Captain Stacey, who's final wish before dying was that Peter stay away from his daughter. Early on in the trailer we're shown the two of them on what appears to be a date, Gwen even teasing him about being late because of a "traffic thing" involving dodging bullets. For one thing, it's nice to see a love interest that isn't lecturing the hero about how dangerous it is to save the world. In fact, she has a big smile on her face when he admits what he was really doing, and doesn't appear to have any reservations about his alter-ego. Fans who know about Gwen's ultimate role in the comics will be a bit worried about Pete's disregard for her father's wishes, and it will be great to see how that monumental plot detail is (or isn't) addressed in the film.
