The Amazing Spider-Man 3: 10 Things We Expect To See

8. Dr. Connors

Dr. Curt Connors, as played by Rhys Ifans, was the main antagonist in the first Amazing Spider-Man movie. He was an Oscorp researcher looking in to the regeneration of limbs in humans by using reptile DNA. Being an amputee himself, Connors attempted to use his unfinished research on himself. Initially, his missing arm grew back, but the process ultimately transformed him in to a hideous humanoid lizard creature who went on to wreak havoc in New York City. He was ultimately apprehended by the combined efforts of Spider-Man and police captain George Stacy and was last seen, back in his human form, in a cell being spoken to by a mysterious man in the shadows, who we now know is Gustav Fiers (The Gentleman) - the man responsible for putting together the Sinister Six in this franchise. Although Connors did not appear in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the formation of the Sinister Six and the connection to Fiers surely means that he will be reappearing on screen as part of the villain team in the next instalment - even if it's only at the very end.
