Ant-Man: 10 Most Anticipated Easter Eggs We Hope To See

2. Litte Cassie Is Stature

We already know that Ant-Man isn't going to be an origin story, at least not in the traditional sense. Hank Pym has already been operating as Ant-man for several years, and the costume that Yellowjacket wears has been described as a more advanced version of the Ant-Man costume. All of this indicates a long history between the characters. We also know that Lang has already been in prison. This isn't a teenager developing superpowers, this is a grown man trying to rediscover himself. One of Lang's key motivations in the film is his daughter, Cassie. Scott's daughter first appeared in the comics as Stature, a member of the Young Avengers with powers that act in reverse of her father's, growing in size rather than shrinking. Although the character seen in the film is too young to be much of a hero, she could potentially take on her role by the time the second or third film comes along. A reference to her being trained by Hope or Scott, or getting her hands on some of his equipment, could set her up as a future protagonist. If they get that far. The presence of the character in future films could help pull in more younger viewers, and also add another much-needed strong female character to the franchise. So although we're not expecting the character to take on the role of a hero just yet, there are many ways they can work her future as a crime-fighter into the first film.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
