Ant-Man: 10 Most Anticipated Easter Eggs We Hope To See
3. The History of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Ok, here's the deal. When Reed Richards and Tony Stark were still kids, their respective fathers were a pair of secret agents employed by S.H.I.E.L.D in the 1950's. Like their sons, Nathaniel Richards and Howard Stark were also scientific and technological geniuses, inventing much of the technology used by S.H.I.E.L.D. among other things the pair were employed to track down and neutralise strange anomalies. Because Hank Pym is significantly older than both Lang and the cast of the Avengers (Michael Douglas just turned 70), there's the potential for him to have worked alongside the pair at an earlier date. Howard Stark has already featured in the first Captain America film, where he was involved in the Super Soldier Project, and is rumoured to appear alongside Peggy Carter in a series of flashbacks in Ant-Man. Although it's questionable whether Nathaniel Reed would ever get a mention (he is, after all, a Fantastic Four character, which are largely out of bounds to Marvel Studios), there's the possibility that the Ant-Man film will introduce an element of S.H.I.E.L.D. to tie the new film to the existing movies, and to add to the history of the organisation in the years between the first Captain America film and the Agent Carter series, and the present day films.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
