Ant-Man: 10 Most Anticipated Easter Eggs We Hope To See
5. Hope Van Dyne As The Wasp
It's already been established that Hank Pym will feature in the film as the original Ant-Man. Hank's wife, Janet Van Dyne, served alongside her husband as a similar size-changing hero called the Wasp. Well, at least until he started being generally abusive and she left him. Now long retired, Pym has passed on the role of Ant-Man to Scott Lang. But what about the Wasp? We also know that the film will feature Hope Van Dyne, Hank and Jan's daughter. The character appears briefly in the second advert, and clearly plays a large role in the film. However, it's unlikely that she'll take on the mantle of the Wasp just yet. Nothing ruins a potential franchise faster than adding too many characters too quickly. But Marvel has already laid the groundwork for Hope to eventually take on her mother's role as the Wasp. There's clearly a significant amount of tension between Hope and her father, and Hope uses her mother's maiden name instead of her father's. There's every chance they'll go one step further, particularly with the rumours of an Ant-Man sequel already going around.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
