Ant-Man 3: 10 Things You Need To Know About Kang The Conqueror

6. His Greatest Enemy Is Himself

Kang The Conqueror Ant Man
Marvel Comics

Because Immortus is in charge of maintaining order in the timestream, he is in direct conflict with his past self, since Kang diverges timelines more than anyone. This mean that Kang must constantly fight... Kang. If that sounds convoluted, it gets worse.

In the story, Time and Time Again, Kang prepares to take over the cosmos by forming a council composed of Kangs from alternative eras.

The main Kang (who is called Kang Prime to avoid confusion), learned it was Immortus' idea to create the council since it allowed every Kang to be in the same place at once, allowing him to eradicate them all with ease. However, he kept Kang Prime alive to ensure he became Immortus in the future.

But guess what? Immortus' relationship with his younger persona gets EVEN MORE confusing. On several occasions, Immortus has performed crimes while impersonating Kang in order to frame his younger self. This means that Immortus had dressed up as himself to incriminate... himself. Only in comic books could a person create a story this ridiculous.
