Ant-Man: 8 Actors Who Could Play Young Hank Pym

8. Alan Tudyk

The case of Alan Tudyk is a strange one: he's been rumoured for the role of Hank Pym, aka Ant-Man, for years now, even before Edgar Wright was attached to helm Marvel's size-changing superhero adventure. As well as being openly keen on the project, Tudyk has also worked with Joss Whedon on Firefly. Given that Whedon seemingly holds the keys to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you'd think that Tudyk would be a lock for a role somewhere in the world that Marvel Studios and Disney have created, right? The choice of Tudyk as Hank Pym is one that many fans of the character have been championing for over the last few years, but it remains to be seen whether Edgar Wright is sold on adding the actor to the ranks of his Ant-Man movie. Despite openly admitting his wish to play Pym, Tudyk has also claimed at various points that he will be playing a completely new character in Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, which would obviously dash any hopes of him signing on to play the younger Hank Pym to Michael Douglas' elderly Ant-Man. Despite being a popular choice amongst fans, this one seems unlikely.
