Ant-Man And The Wasp: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
3. The Cast And Crew Have Been Absorbing All The Comics
Though it may not sound as though Ant-Man possesses the history of his Avengers counterparts, the character has been going for an awfully long time, picking up his debut in 1962 and subsequently going on to star in multiple solo books and, of course, The Avengers themselves.
Reed has previously indicated that he's been spending his days in between projects reading and absorbing everything he can get his hands on when it comes to the hero, going back to Hank Pym's first appearances in The Avengers all the way up to Nick Spencer's modern run on the character. The series' certainly add up over time, and so it should come as no surprise that Ant-Man and The Wasp will be looking to incorporate all aspects of the character's lore when it releases next year.
The director is also said to be taking visual cues from the comics as well. It was a technique we saw deployed to great effect by Joe and Anthony Russo in Civil War, so the fact we'll be seeing more in the sequel should certainly give diehard fans of the character much to look forward to.
