Ant-Man And The Wasp: 19 WTF Moments

15. All The Product Placement

After Avengers: Infinity War actually kept its product placement surprisingly tasteful and minimal for the most part, Ant-Man and the Wasp gets back to excessive usual, with a ton of subtlety-free shilling for various companies and products.

The most blatant instances are the Altoids mints case Hank uses to conceal some ant helpers, the numerous lingering shots of Entenmann's cakes in the X-Con office, the giant, flying Pez dispenser, the Hot Wheels carry case for Hank's car collection, and a bunch of Hyundai vehicles featured throughout.

Many of these placements are at least in the service of a funny gag, but much like the ridiculous Baskin-Robbins shilling in the first film, it feels more than a little bit cheeky. It's as though they're saying, "If we make a joke out of it, it's fine."
