Going back to the vehicle spotlighted at the beginning of the trailer, and it's clear that it's been moved to a different setting by its end.

Microscopic, subatomic or otherwise, one can only speculate as to why the vehicle is where it is. We know that Michelle Pfeiffer will portray Hope's mother, Janet, and given that she was trapped in the subatomic realm, it could be that Hank is finally mounting his rescue.

This shot would imply, however, that they're not quite they're yet. The organisms featured look more microscopic than subatomic, but at least we know this vehicle was designed with miniaturised travel.
